Begin Your Journey to Farmland Ownership

GOSHEN, N.Y. — Identifying, evaluating, and securing farmland can be challenging, but resources and support systems exist to help new landowners overcome initial hurdles.

Join Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County on October 10, 2024, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at El MimoMex Farm in Goshen, NY for an evening of community, food, and conversations around land access opportunities and strategies.

Attendees will hear from experienced farmers about the journey to land ownership, including El MimoMex Farm’s own Martin y Guadencia, who has been farming in New York since 2004.

This seminar will cover a variety of resources available for accessing farmland, including financing options and alternative and collaborative methods of accessing land. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network directly with farmers, aspiring farmers, and landowners in the community.
