Four Decades of Eating Local: Colorado’s Farm Fresh Directory Turns 40!

BROOMFIELD, Colo. — What gets older but fresher every year? Why, the Colorado Farm Fresh Directory, of course!

Celebrating its 40th anniversary, the Farm Fresh Directory has been a staple in helping Colorado consumers find farmers’ markets, roadside stands, u-picks, and so much more in each corner of our beautiful state. As Coloradans look forward to returning to typical summer activities, the 2024 Farm Fresh Directory is a must have for the freshest info on farm stands and local markets. This year, the directory also includes a listing of 151 Colorado wineries.

“This directory gives Coloradans and visitors a guide to the state’s impressive farmers’ market culture, agritourism, and other fun food, beverage, and agriculture events,” said Colorado proud Program Manager Danielle Trotta. “Farm stands and markets keep Coloradans directly connected to the agricultural industry, help shorten the supply chain, and bring fresh, locally grown produce straight to our homes. This year, we’re also connecting Coloradans with their closest wineries!”

The 2024 Colorado Farm Fresh Directory features businesses selling direct to the public, including more than 200 farms, ranches, roadside stands, u-picks and Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs. This year, the directory features 87 farmers’ markets across the state and includes as well as 25 new listings. Farm Fresh also includes listings of restaurants using local ingredients, corn mazes, pumpkin patches and other seasonal activities. The 40th anniversary edition also includes a list of Colorado wineries. In addition, the free directory includes a crop calendar and other helpful resources.

Longmont Dairy Farm and Royal Crest Dairy customers receive a copy of the publication through the home milk delivery services, reaching approximately 95,000 customers. The directory is available for free through a variety of businesses or you can see the print version of the Directory here or view the Accessible 2024 Colorado Farm Fresh Directory. You can also get Farm Fresh Directory in Spanish.
